Katri Aintila is an artist who paints with acrylic, aquarelle and coal, she also uses mixed media and makes installations.
Born 1976, Katri is a member of Artists Association of Hämeenlinna and has been participating in its events since 1993. She has had 7 solo exhibition in Finland; first of them in Art Gallery Ripustus in 1994. Her works have been seen in many international exhibitions in Finland but also in Europe in Switzerland, Sweden, Lithuania and Romania, France, Italy, Germany, Israel and Norway. She has Master of Science degree in University of Helsinki.
”My art is analysis of myself as part of the world and its phenomenon. My inspiration often comes from nature and transforms to art via creation of personal meaning and semantics. To me the process of making art is often about conceptualizing and defining oneself.”
